Our Annual Islamic Heritage Festival & Parade weekend activity begins 1:00pm Friday, with Salatul Jummah (the Muslim congregational prayer service) at the world renowned Independence National Historical Park, located at 5th and Market Streets. Independence National Historical Park is America’s most historic square mile with more than 20 landmarks open to the public. It is the Home of the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, the National Constitution Center and the new Presidents House which commemorates the lives of nine enslaved Africans who lived and worked in the nation first White House.
We invite all the Muslims to join us in showcasing our community in the heart of center city Philadelphia, the cradle of American Democracy to pro-actively proclaim our citizenship and ownership of America.
The Annual Islamic Festival and Parade is a cultural and social institution in Philadelphia. The first festival and largest of it’s kind in the country, it started in 1993 and have continuously been held for over 22 years.
